Final Illustration in its website home. Illustration was done in Adobe Illustrator, then detailed in Photoshop. Web design was done by Acapella Media. There was constant communication on both design fronts to make them work together seamlessly.
The poster after a few rounds of revisions. This was done in Adobe Illustrator, then details were added in Photoshop (especially for the pizza). I was in charge of writing the descriptions for each ingredient; an opportunity to be a copywriter!

I am usually used for drawing, but I thoroughly enjoyed writing about Neapolitan pizza based on some facts from the client. I can't wait to try their pizza! Client approved the copy after a few edits.
The single flame logo was chosen and illustrated.
Here is the initial sketch for the website idea. We had the idea for a "neapolitan pizza universe" which the client liked. The client then had the idea of a Mario World type art style. This project was shaping up to be extremely fun and exciting!

Many criteria had to be met in order for their restaurant to be respectable to the Neapolitan Pizza Authority, which Pizza CS was being certified by. This increases the credibility of a Neapolitan Pizza restaurant greatly.
For example, Mt. Vesuvius had to be recognizable in shape, the tomatoes must look like San Marzano tomatoes,
the oven must be 100% accurate to the real one. There had to be a delicate balance between reality and the surreal.

Menu design for 3 color printing. Originally, it looked more like the poster, but it was decided to make it simpler for printing.
The large menu had to be carefully laid out on the letter sized, single fold paper. Prices will be added after the restaurant opens.
